Hi, I am Dr. Carmen Every. I am one of the doctors at the Astoria Dental Group. I am originally from Aruba, came here when I was 19 years old, attended Sally Dickerson University in New Jersey. After my college, I went to Georgetown Dental School for my dental degree where I met my husband, Dr. Degel, and we came back to New York and we established the Astoria Dental Group. Why I love dentistry? I probably had dentistry done to myself at a very, very young age. I lost a tooth, ended up with braces at a very young age, and I was very conscious about my smile and thank god to my mother who brought me to an orthodontist and ended up doing some orthodontic work and going into cosmetic work after that brought me back my confidence. I always was very good with my hands and I loved to, you know, doing something, working on teeth and I knew it was very important for your self-esteem and I even incorporate this in my practice with what I do. I have been involved with Invisalign about four years. I think it is a very great product, especially as a cosmetic dentist as well, because I can always make the finished product look great.
